The report also examined Washington’s existing regulatory and tax policies on adult-use cannabis, compared these with other states that have legalized adult-use cannabis, and identified specific policies that may be inhibiting scalability of the industry in Washington state. Findings were used by the Washington CannaBusiness Association to advocate for state-level policies to support the industry.
